My March, 2018 TEDx Talk at UNCA was an energizing and enervating experience all at once. "Good Vibrations: Less Drugs, More Music" may surprise you since I share some personal info I have not mentioned before. Let me know if you learned anything new. Or have anything to add.

Gordon stayed nearby during my TEDx Talk at UNCA Sat. 3/3/18. I am exhausted but exhilarated. Grateful to have this amazing platform to share my passion......."Good Vibrations: Less Drugs, More Music."
When my Talk is posted I'll publish a link On the road sharing the Musical Morphine stories in my old stomping grounds—the Adirondacks. Exhilarating meeting old friends and new! A few photos from the trip... Marie-Louise Ramsey at the Asheville Visitors’ Center has been following my book progress and requested six autographed copies for the gift shop. She is thrilled to include them in the store since I am a local author and she thinks my message is powerful. The book, she says, will make a great gift book or excellent reading for anyone.
Take a look at ‘Musical Morphine’ beautifully positioned on the display wall. We "banditos" had an amazing time together making music after a huge pot luck. We saw the documentary of the band history and all of its members that Neal, Coleen, and Kit put together. Estimated number of performances over the years: close to 1000. From 4- 10:30 pm we did a musical round robin where we each of us chose a song from our own lists of favorites, moving around from band member to band member. I got to sing "The Trumpet Vine" again and was thrilled that my fingertips, my memory, and my voice held up for all that music! As a Certified Music Practitioner, I offer live therapeutic music to the critically and chronically ill, the elderly and dying. One of the participants at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church last night asked if my music also reached others besides designated patients.

It was great fun to be interviewed on our local Asheville public radio station, WCQS, a couple weeks ago. Thanks to Dick Kowal for the opportunity to spread the word about Musical Morphine: Transforming Pain One Note at a Time. Friends and neighbors enjoyed my presentation at the Beaverdam Run Clubhouse on Sunday. Check the calendar for more events coming soon—can't wait to see you there!
