I softly played harmonica over him, remembering the shy lumberjack who allowed me into his very private life.

I consider this a small miracle. Who knew that a harmonica could be an entre into a shy, withdrawn dying man's life. Have you had an experience where something drew you and another person together unexpectedly? Will you share?

Hi Robin,
I loved hearing Shenandoah on the harmonica.
My father Irv whose one instrument he played was the harmonica, gave joy to our family. He passed away 7 years ago, and tomorrow May 20th is his birthday.
I inherited all his harmonicas which must be over 50.
Your harmonica playing inspired me to pick up on of his precious Hohners.

Keep playing and sharing your gift of music.
I am also a CMP who plays piano, guitar, and uke.
I recently bought a Dusty Strings Ravenna , and I am taking harp lessons, and love it.

Have a great summer in the Smokies.

Hi Marcia, Your note to me is lovely. So happy you have picked up the Hohners! Wow, 50 of them. Your dad must have bought every key!

Funny, but my husband's birthday is the 20th. So is his sister's. We are traveling to Charlotte, NC (from Asheville) for the day to celebrate with our son.

Yes, I hope we meet up eventually. Maybe an MHTP conference or if you are in Asheville, NC (a VERY cool place to visit).
